A second look at the Memo
They are in a villa, in a place James never would have imagined himself. It is his new home. And he feels astounded by the beauty of what he sees. The view is of a lush valley, nestled between two mountains. As he enjoys the view he thinks back over the last couple of months.
He met Anna on a fluke. That is to say, it never would have happened, had it not happened the way it did. He was in a convenience store. It just so happened it was very close to the airport. His purpose in being there was for gas. As he was walking to the line he passed Anna, and her sister, searching along one of the aisles.
A second look at the Memo
She was searching for some aspirin. The airport bar was out of stock. Anna Bolden! James had dropped his car keys. His face had immediately flushed red as he was now in the lovely Ladie’s notice. Within a few minutes they are in a conversation. In fact they are so mesmerized, one with the other, they lose track of time.
Eventually, Anna’s sister breaks into their instant attraction, and reminds her sister they have a flight. Furthermore, they will miss the flight if they linger any longer. James couldn’t help it. He accompanied the lovely Anna Bolden back to the airport and bought a ticket on the same flight.

Almost immediately they had become inseparable. Their attraction had deepened and they had come to the mutual decision they were much happier together. Now, James is unpacking his things in their new home. With only two boxes left to unpack, he is close to being finished.
As he unpacks, he looks around again. He is scarcely able to believe the beautiful surroundings. Then he finds the old Memo book in the second to last box. Chills rocket up his spine, and his reality warbles for a brief moment.
Another Idea
Then, he opens the Memo book again. Likewise, he remembers it more accurately now. On the first page, he finds his handwriting, and the two messages he had written, therein. As the words wash over him, he feels a sense of things clicking into place. Furthermore, his mind begins to race. And then crazy thoughts begin rushing their way into his mind.
The theme of his realization can be summed up with two simple words, “what if…”
With this in mind, he decides to experiment with his Memo book. He takes the pen and writes another message in the book. He looks over his wish and closes the Memo book. This time he sets the book with his other important items. He was going to be checking back in.
One month later James is certain of what he has. The announcer shakes his hand, and the festivities begin. James looks at Anna and they smile at each other. They are going to have to talk.
