Mr. Werlington’s flea circus part 3 (continue)

He turns back to the table where Halister’s flower is laying. How has it come to be here? Furthermore how had Halister lost it to begin with? It was such a vital part of his act.

Mr. Werlington sits down at the table where he has placed the flea circus. He is ignoring the agitated visitor. None of it was a concern or a threat to the project. The truth of the matter was the point would be moot before any threats became real.

The colony had countless experiments on countless worlds. This was not the first interruption or relocation. The town official would only have bewildered and unanswered questions in two days. Furthermore, Mr. Werlington would be well away from this land.

Corrisander’s Request

He turns his attention to the circus. He had been eagerly anticipating the trapeze act! It was almost his favorite! The way they flew through the air with such grace and ease was exhilarating, and wonderful, to behold!

As he gazes intently and sees all three rings are in motion! Not only are the trapeze artists gracefully capturing the audience’s attention, but also Corrisander is performing! Mr. Werlington is immediately transfixed. There is none more courageous than Corrisander.

Corrisander is half way across the high wire. As usual, he has no net. Mr. Werlington feels an involuntary shudder move through his being. Furthermore, he is now on the very edge of his seat. And also, he is unaware that he is holding his breath. He cannot understand how Corrisander avoids the fear.

high wire

Not only does Corrisander show no fear but also he smiles so that the audience will feel no fear as well! This is one reason Mr. Werlington feels so transfixed by Corrisander, he always performs to inspire!

Circus

It is a wondrous performance and Mr. Werlington always feels relieved when Corrisander makes it safely to the other side. Furthermore, he feels astounded when Corrisander looks in his direction, and locks eyes with him. Not only is he staring right at Mr. Werlington but also he is saying something.

The words are clear in spite of the cheers of the crowd, and there is no mistaking what he hears Corrisander say, “We need to talk”

Mr. Werlington blinks and has to admit, that now it is a strange day indeed.
