Real ghost stories are easy to see through
When thinking about a gripping ghost story it’s easy to focus on the fright. After all, that’s what ghosts do, they frighten the daylights out of people. At least, that’s what makes for compelling ghost stories. Therefore, if there’s a ghost practicing mischief it’s got to be an interesting story. However, there seems to be fewer ghost stories than ever before.
In fact, when was the last real ghost story to be featured anywhere? There might have been movies about ghost stories in the recent past, but none stand out. That is to say, none were break away hits that left a definite impression. Furthermore, the question is valid for more than just ghost stories or news articles. What really happened to all the ghosts?
Furthermore, would it even be possible to recognize a ghost in a ghostly encounter? Is it possible that too much screen time, and the wild abilities of artificial intelligence, have ended the concept of a ghostly encounter?
Real Ghost Stories
One of the best ghost stories ever told, was about a ghost who didn’t know he was a ghost. The whole story plays out, and it is intense. In fact, the main character is searching for answers. Looking for clues to actually find the ghost. Meanwhile, the main character, is the ghost. Furthermore, he doesn’t find out until the end of the story. Just like the audience.
That is a fine ghost story. And a good example of an unknown ghostly encounter. It counts. Even if it’s the ghost that gets hoodwinked. And maybe that’s the essence of the ghostly encounter. It’s off the wall. Completely unexpected and timed in an odd way.

It has that sense of feeling unreal. At least that’s how it seems in all the ghost stories. And it’s uncanny how the timing of the event is always when there’s no one around. In fact, if it weren’t for cameras, many of the known ghostly encounters, would be hearsay. Or someone’s stories, with strange and elaborate details.
Easy to See Through
Much like the ghost story previously mentioned, the unexpected story or event, is how it usually happens. Additionally, it has been said that truth is stranger than fiction. And almost everyone can agree that a video of an unexplained ghostly event, can render some chills. It just feels that way. Many things are easy to fake on video. But actual, unexplained events, are easy to see through.
The unexplained event, has that feeling associated with it. That feeling of encountering something that is paranormal. Furthermore, that has always seemed to be the method of operation for a ghost. Activity that is hard to explain. And interaction that is often brief and off to the side. Almost indirect but certainly there. Maybe.
With this in mind, it is a safe bet that ghostly encounters are still happening. However, it is a much busier world these days. Therefore, the ghostly activity might blend in. Or maybe it happens so quickly that it feels like it’s a part of the norm. That’s how it happened in the story that follows this introduction. Stay tuned and thanks for reading today.
