The mirror of reflection leaves no one behind

The mirror of reflection. How strange to know it has a name. It fits, Edward thinks. And then he refocuses on the haggard looking man pulling him along by his arm. The shouting man easily drags Edward out toward the beach. All the while cursing, and demanding to know who told Edward about the Mirror of Reflection.

Edward quickly looks back over his shoulder. The mirror is propped against a tree. Additionally, he can see Lisa and Bethany in the mirror. They have horrified expressions, and Bethany is crying. Edward tries to shout to them. However, he is roughly pulled onward.

“Who told ye of the mirror?” the man pulls Edward even faster. They are on the beach now. Edward loses a shoe. Furthermore, they are going straight toward the crashing waves. Therefore, he begins to struggle against the pull. In earnest. Then his fright gives way to panic. Therefore, he plants his feet deep in the sand, and leans back with all his might. Then he yanks, and pulls, trying to free himself from the ironclad grip around his wrist.

The Mirror of Reflection

Bethany watches Edward go into the mirror. And then land on the other side. Now they watch as Edward is dragged further away. However, this isn’t as mind boggling for her, as it is for Lisa. For one thing, Bethany already rescued Edward from the place behind the mirror once before. Furthermore, she knows the mirror is some kind of doorway. Therefore, she immediately begins to follow Edward.

Lisa pulls her back and holds her firm. “We have to find Mom and Dad.” Lisa’s voice shakes as she speaks. And she pulls Bethany away from the mirror.

“We have to save Edward!” Bethany yells back fiercely, and tries jumping into the mirror of reflection. Furthermore, she is crying now, and the tears blur her vision. Lisa holds her fast, and they both see Edward struggling against the deranged looking man who pulled him through the mirror.

Leave… Him… Alone!” Bethany shouts each word into the mirror. However, if her voice carries to the other side, it doesn’t show. In fact, the haggard looking man continues pulling Edward toward the strangely colored sea. Additionally, Bethany now sees something strange. The ground on the other side of the mirror is moving. She stops struggling against Lisa for a moment. It only takes a second for her to realize the ground is covered with strange, nightmarish creatures. They are all moving toward the sea, and Edward. Furthermore, they have one in the box on Edwards desk.

No One Left Behind

Edward yanks his arm with all his might. The deranged and shouting man continues to pull Edward to the sea. However, he isn’t moving as fast now. Likewise the grip on Edward’s wrist loosened on that last pull. The realization causes Edward a fresh burst of adrenaline, and he struggles with all he’s got. As he pulls and plants his feet, he looks back at the mirror again. What he sees sends icy chills racing up his spine.

Coming from the woods where the mirror sits, is a horde of small, nightmarish creatures. They are identical to the one in the box in his room. However there are thousands, maybe even millions of them, coming toward him and the beach. Edward feels panic blossom in his core. He is about to cry out when he sees Bethany hop through the mirror, and race toward him. Next Lisa jumps through. Now, for better or for worse, they are all in.
