Why can’t it be better chicken?
It looked like chicken, and it tasted like chicken. But it wasn’t chicken. The problem was the label. It had the word printed on it. In bold letters. Therefore, it was easy to assume. Then with more examination, it became clear. No chicken.
This has become the norm. Actually it’s so far out of normal, it’s got to be a joke. A bad joke. It’s not a joke though. It’s as serious as cow farts. Once upon a time, cow farts were inconvenient. For the farmer milking the cow. It is possible the cow felt relief. How could the cow have known that it was destroying the world, with a careless fart? Apparently that is new research. The cow wouldn’t have known, because the reports weren’t ready yet.
With this in mind, the question really isn’t who has the money to fund, fart research. There likely isn’t anything more important. However, that’s not entirely accurate, to coin an old phrase. There are all sorts of things that should be considered long and hard. Especially before the fart warming research, needs another ten million. For example, the draft.
Why can’t it be better chicken?
Not the one under the door. This is the one where they call on citizens to go and fight a conflict created from greed. Or something similar. However, through empirical evidence and 20/20 hindsight, it’s certainly unclear if it is about liberty, and freedom. The idea of a draft for women, got a lot of traction, and it wasn’t by the people.
Furthermore, the old legacy news highlighted the idea, for a brief time. The draft means younger men, aged 18-25 are eligible for active military service. For the United States it is the prime age, for conscripted military participation. If there is such a concern about the volume of eligible draftees, how about raising the age for the men? Let’s include ages 26-32 in that draft. Have things gotten so bad, we couldn’t even consider this option?
Additionally, what has any of this got to do with better chicken? As it turns out, there are a lot of connections being ignored. It isn’t about the chicken at all. Although it could be, and the quality of food could improve. However, quality is an ideal that is fading fast. It seems rare to find something being done for the sake of quality. It wasn’t so rare a decade ago.
Improved Circumstance
Additionally, the experiments are failing fast. Who would have thought that entry level fast food workers, making twenty dollars an hour, would have adverse consequences? Going through a drive thru with that level of hourly labor cost, is not an improved experience. Furthermore, the food is not better. Hell, sometimes it isn’t even hot. Who decides to do business this way? Oh, wait a sec, never mind.
So, why can’t it be better chicken? Or better roads, and railway crossings? How about better schools that focus on reading, writing and math? Schools that educate for the sake of creating a strong work ethic , and integrity? What ever happened to the pursuit of justice? And truth?
“The difference between right and wrong does not fluctuate, it is immutable.” ~Patrick Henry
That quote is from a founding father of the United States. Recently, there was an independence day celebration in the United States. A celebration for the founding principles of this county. There was certainly a great deal of sacrifice, for the concept of Liberty, and so much more. Likewise, independence from tyranny. We have it on record.
Old Fart Opinion
However, unusual things get a lot of attention these days. Better chicken isn’t a top priority. But it should be. Ideally, before anyone finds out about farting chickens. (I don’t think anyone has any interest in chicken farts.) However, the priority list feels a little off, these days. It is possible that the intensity of a chicken fart, can rip open dimensional portals, and then all sorts of things can happen.
Things that do not lead to better chicken are missing the point of a better lunch. Or dinner. This topic was first discussed while waiting in a drive thru. Sometimes it takes a few minutes, and innocent questions, become great stories.
