A stunning of the heart – The landing zone

He looks at the strangely clad person and once more tries to understand all the shouting. The loud person is aiming something at James. He knows the person is agitated, but he doesn’t know where he is supposed to get down to. He tries to use his hands to sign that he doesn’t understand. And that he can’t speak.

The strange object aimed at him, makes a popping sound. James feels a stinging sensation in his legs. Then he seizes up, and falls hard to the ground. He lands on his face, and flops, while planking. A moment later, the loud and very rude person is on top of him, and binding his hands together. James can’t believe this is happening. Furthermore, he didn’t plan his day this way.

It’s seven in the morning and the plank flopping is still several hours away. James has completed his morning routine. He is also adapting to the idea that he tattoos easily while he sleeps. However, he feels no pain. It is as though he has always had the chest tattoo. As he readies himself for the day, he thinks of her, and his heart fills with adoration and love. He has to find a way back to the kingdom. A way back to her.

In fact, there is a new park opening today. The Lily Pad park. He felt curious the moment he heard the name. Additionally, he is ever more aware there is magic at play here. There are similarities between his world and this world. However, he belongs in his world. He belongs in the beautiful kingdom. Where she is. And he is determined to find his way back.

He leaves his small one room apartment to find a carriage. He will need one of these to make it all the way to the Lily Pad park. Feeling a rush of nostalgia, mixed with excitement, he thinks about going home. Home is where the heart is, after all. Home is where she is. As he arrives at the corner, he is the only one waiting for the large carriage to appear.

The Landing Zone – Lily Pad park

She is the Mayor of a very large city. Her duties are sometimes very public. It is the nature of the job that she will attend special events. And those are official business, in almost every case. Therefore, she has an entourage of assistants and castle guards. Bodyguards. She must also, continually remember, to keep the two worlds separated. At least until she could find the way back, to her kingdom.

With this in mind, she is at an opening ceremony, this afternoon. It is a special event. She is christening a new park. She doesn’t mind these types of events. They are usually low stress, and over quickly. Therefore, she feels relieved when they finally arrive at the new Park. The sooner they were finished, the sooner she could return to her research.

There is only a small crowd when she arrives. And there is a podium where she can address the attendees. Then they will cut the ribbon, and the Park will be officially opened. As she approaches the podium she notices a strange young man, staring at her with big buggy eyes. Furthermore, he appears to have recognized her. Because he begins hopping up and down excitedly.

Stunning of the Heart Plank Flopping

The young man is smiling happily, and jumping up and down. He waves to her and then rushes toward the podium. The Mayor feels stunned at how quickly the security detail intercedes. Within seconds, the young man falls to the ground. Then he flops like a fish, and stiffens from the effects of the taser.

She hadn’t seen that coming. Nor was she prepared, for what happened next. While the young man was flopping on the ground, he changed. She wasn’t completely sure, but for a split second there was a jumpy frog. Then it was the young man again, just flop planking. Her instincts tell her this is more than coincidence and she orders her guard to apprehend the frog at once. She wanted to question him, herself. –To be continued
