Butterbeans and the worlds below

Butterbeans and the worlds below. She had finally reached the outer most edge of the cavern. The world below, opens before her, and she is excited for Alex to see. She paces the landing searching for the best way down. Once again, she hears the old thing roaming somewhere. However, her attention has shifted to the newly discovered valley below.

As she begins winding her way down, light fills the chamber from somewhere far above. As it does, more of the scene below opens, and it is evident another world has formed deep below ground. There is a great expanse of open valley between the sheer cliff faces, of the cavern walls. Butterbeans descends down a narrow path.

She knows what is in the valley, is of extreme importance. However, she doesn’t know what it is. She had thought they were going to retrieve it earlier. When they had been in the cavern, waiting for the Sergeant and the Lieutenant.

Instead they had returned to the surface. This had worried Butterbeans. She had been sure that time was important. The path downward is steep, but not too steep. She is able to move quickly, as she descends. Furthermore, she can now hear the sounds of the team finally making it to level 113.

Butterbeans is relieved to know they will be joining her soon. Likewise, they will be glad to know what has become of the depths below level 113.

Alex is the first down into level 113. He folds his screen and attaches it to his sleeve. Butterbeans is on the move, and he needs to catch up. As he begins walking his way down the corridor of level 113, he is astounded at the differences compared to just mere hours before.

The entire end section of the corridor now opens onto a vast and immense underground ecosystem. Alex can see an entire valley nestled between the sheer cliff faces of the chasm below.

Furthermore, there is sunshine and light, which seems impossible but shines, nevertheless. Alex blinks trying to take it all in as he gazes across the wide open expanse below ground. It seems impossible, but no less real. With this in mind, Alex notices a furry form on a path leading downward. He has found Butterbeans at last.
