Food for Thought Really It’s a Thing

Welcome back! This article is about food, but not just any food. Goodness no! It’s more about all food! Okay, it’s true, that’s a broad subject. Probably take all day to cover the basics alone.

The good news is, it’s not like that! It’s an article about brainpower! Which can be improved with food. Not just any food, (not this again) but particular foods.

There is a wealth of information on the web about the benefits of healthy eating. One site that has excellent guidance and tips on healthy foods and their specific benefits is Intelligence for Your Life. The information on this site, is all about what’s in the name.

Food for Thought Really It's a Thing

Here’s a small example:

“Raisins are full of boron, and USDA tests found that people who consumed a lot of boron did better on attention and memory tests.”

(Intelligence for Your Life-from the book The Thinking Man’s Diet)

Lean and Leafy Green

Here’s another one: Green, leafy vegetables. Leafy greens such as kale, spinach, collards, and broccoli are rich in brain-healthy nutrients like vitamin K, lutein, folate, and beta carotene. (google)

So go ahead and have the salad, spring is here and more leafy greens are in the works!

Speaking of Spring and fresh vegetables, ever wonder what the number one healthiest food on earth could be?

Food for Thought Really It's a Thing

Spinach! That wonderful leafy green health machine!

“This nutrient-dense green superfood is readily available – fresh, frozen or even canned. One of the healthiest foods on the planet, spinach is packed with energy while low in calories, and provides Vitamin A, Vitamin K, and essential folate.”

(Goodnet.org-Top 10 Healthiest Foods in the World)

I thought that might make some eyes pop out there! This is the number one healthiest food in the world , and I enjoyed getting in the know, about the next nine, for an overall healthy eating strategy.

All that searching sure does inspire an appetite for some nourishing pizza combinations. It also yielded plenty of food for thought. Did someone mention pizza?
