Glass door showdown with Butterbeans

The agents are closing in. She is not afraid of them. She feels worried for Alex. However they are trained for this sort of thing. Butterbeans closes ranks with Alex. And they slowly back away from the rogue agents. They will have to keep their wits about them if they hope to escape this plight.

With this in mind, she knows they must reach the base commander. Their friends are counting on them, and time is running out. Furthermore, she senses that their friends of light are unable to help them at this moment. Therefore, they will have to find a way around these agents without assistance.

Alex continues to back away slowly. Butterbeans follows suit and keeps her teeth visible to the rogue agents. She would not allow them to harm Alex. She feels their intent to pounce and she readies herself. This would have to be quick, because they were running out of time. She could sense that Alex felt the same way.

Glass Door Showdown with Butterbeans

Alex feels startled by the sudden appearance of the agents. However, he isn’t caught completely off guard. The situation had a strange feel to it from the moment they had arrived on this level. Therefore Alex was expecting anything. Furthermore, he understood the stakes. They were high.

With this in mind, he hopes he can buy some time as he slowly backs away from the agents. Butterbeans closes ranks with him and they back away from the advancing agents. Alex checks to make sure he still has the artifact. This was of great importance. In fact it was so important they were on the fast track to its destination.

However, Alex isn’t expecting they will have an eternity gate to jump through this time. Therefore he cautiously backs away, although he can sense the two agents are about to make their move. He feels Butterbeans tense up beside him, as the agents quickly pounce on them.

Showdown

The Sergeant blinks and then they are standing in a room. The Lieutenant is standing beside him. Additionally, the Sergeant recognizes the room immediately. They are in the ready room on level two of the facility. Somehow they have left level 113 and the chambers beneath it, far behind.

He feels a slight sense of disorientation as he looks around the room. The first thing he notices is they are alone in the room. The next thing he sees is the open door to the hallway. Then he looks at the Lieutenant for orders.

He doesn’t have to wait long, because a commotion erupts from the other side of the open door. Furthermore the Sergeant can hear the fierce battle cries of a furry friend. The Lieutenant is already on the move to the sounds of the battle. The Sergeant follows immediately behind.

Butterbeans

As they enter the hallway, the scene is chaotic. Two rogue agents are struggling to subdue Alex and Butterbeans. However, the agents have taken on more than they are able to handle. Butterbeans is fiercely standing her ground. And Alex has already disarmed one agent. The other agent appears to be thinking twice as the Lieutenant orders him to stand down.

The moment the path is clear Alex rushes to the open elevator. He feels grateful for the arrival of the Sergeant and Lieutenant. Therefore, he will make the most of the opportunity. Butterbeans joins him in the elevator and the doors close, as they finally make it to the surface.
