Mittens isn’t the sinister one

The milk is warm, but not too warm. This is a good thing, because Mittens only likes it warm. They are serving it for everyone tonight. Of course, why wouldn’t they? It is an auspicious occasion, and every cat is feeling festive.

Furthermore, it isn’t just the warm milk that is driving the fun. There is also a catnip bar. Mittens hasn’t been at the catnip bar yet, but it looks like fun. In fact, almost everything here at the Scratching Post is fun.

Mittens isn’t the sinister one

With this in mind it is not fun, they are gathered here to do. In fact, he is here just to see if the council will actually pass the vote. If that happens everything will change. Cats would be back in demand, and the entire Cat economy would also improve.

There would be mice. Mittens grins lazily, and begins purring, as he sips his milk. In fact, there is a lot of purring going on at the Scratching Post today. Excitement is in the air, and every cat is eagerly anticipating the announcement. Over at the Catnip bar, the conversation is all about mice.

Even in the litter box, the talk is all about the release of the mice. Mittens had listened intently. It was important to be up to date on things. He wanted to be near the front of the line when the announcement is made. Additionally, he suspected the celebrations would go on well into the next morning.

Hairball news

However, the plan is to get started as soon as the announcement is made. There will be a mad dash to get the most mice from the start. Therefore, the early bird would get the most worms. Mittens didn’t like worms, but he did like the saying. Likewise, he liked mice.

As the time of the announcement draws near, the excitement in the air is palpable. Cats all around the country are watching. This is according to the Hairball news. It is the only network any cat watches, for real news. Of course there is social sniff media. Additionally, that is how everyone knows to be watching the Hairball news tonight.

The time for the announcement has arrived. Mittens moves to the edge of his seat. Will they actually do it? He wonders, as he watches the news report. Similarly, his whiskers twitch, at the thought of all those mice. Every cat at the Scratching Post is alert now. It is time for the announcement. Mittens watches closely as the report begins…
