Pocket Wilderness Conflict the Last to Know?
Dan the duck waddles home. It had been an unusual, and strange day. He is near the pond now and barely notices the new warning sign. He had asked the squirrels back at the grove, if the pond was safe. However their report had been jibber jabber nonsense.
He still felt confused. As he arrives at the edge of the pond, things are quiet. Almost too quiet. Not even the owl family was out today. Dan wonders if the whole pocket wilderness had lost its senses. The run-in with the FBI, had seriously rattled him.
The Feral Burro of Instigation had questioned Dan all morning! Going on about his meeting with Roy the rowdy rhino. However, there had been nothing Dan could tell them. What did he know about pond politics? Nothing! That’s what!
Pocket Wilderness Conflict
He and his beloved Anna, wanted to know if the council was going to do anything about the dangers facing the pocket wilderness. Furthermore, he and Anna were preparing for hatchlings. All they had seen was that strange parrot doing crazy deflection with pocket wilderness resources.
And still the problems and dangers remained. Much worse than this, the pocket wilderness was fast becoming an unsafe place for hatchlings.
After trying all morning to get a visit with Roy, he had to admit defeat. It was as though ‘ole Roy had disappeared. Dan clicks his bill remembering the chaos at the court house! Then the suit had started questioning him.
All of the sudden, Flo the fox cuts in front of Dan. He is so surprised, he nearly trips over his flipper.
“Hello Dan, didn’t you see the warning sign?” Flo darts quickly back into Dan’s path. “It is not wise to swim the pond today.” Flo nods her head toward the pond, “Look closer Dan.”

The Last to Know?
Dan peers past Flo and sees the warning sign immediately. Because it is being carried by Carly the Crane. Who has just landed in front of Dan. Dan looks from Flo to Carly and reads the warning sign, right in front of him.
“There is a monster fish in the pond. Flippers anger the monster fish greatly, and cause the monster fish to thrash about and create carnage. For this reason, flippers are banned from the pond.”
Dan blinks, and looks at his flippers. Then out toward the pond, the only most important thing to his beloved Anna and their future hatchlings. He blinks again and ruffles his feathers just a bit. He looks back at Flo, who is also watching him closely.
All Dan can do is ask the obvious question, “What will all the ducks do to survive Flo? We all need the pond just as much as the fish!” He is beginning to feel worried as Flo’s smile widens into a grin.
“Why Dan, this is not about the ducks at all. This is about flippers. Also, flippers have been proven to be a danger.” Flo moves just a little closer to Dan and asks quietly, “Are you a danger Dan?”
Pocket Wilderness
Dan blinks rapidly now. He cannot believe this is happening. Furthermore, he decides he doesn’t need to use the pond at all today. And he begins to back away, slowly. He smiles at Flo and Carly, and wishes them a good afternoon. He waves a wing and turns to waddle away.
And is seized immediately by the pocket wilderness, warning sign authority. Dan quacks as he is being taken away by a large moose in a suit. He wonders if this is how Roy the rowdy disappeared. Furthermore will Dan be next?
