The easy exercise routine for out of shape beginners

It’s easy to get out of shape. Particularly when we reach adulthood. Between all the high calorie food and drink, and the busy schedule, when is there ever time for exercise? In fact, according to research, the average person sits more than stands these days. If that is true, then we have every reason to incorporate a little exercise in the every day flow of things.

Of course that brings up more than a few questions. Not the least of which is asking the doctor about exercise. From there, how much exercise is enough exercise is a common question. There are also more than a few answers to that common question. One Google search will get a quick summary of the effects of exercise. Therefore figuring out how much is enough isn’t too hard.

The hard part always seems to be starting. Just getting the start of an exercise routine is a challenge sometimes. And why wouldn’t it be? An exercise routine can lead to sweating and sweating leads to feeling tired. It’s the same old song and dance. Why bother when we can watch that song and dance in a video? Because there’s no substitute for the real thing.

The Easy Exercise Routine

There’s no substitute for the real thing. The real outdoors, the real sunshine and real, fresh outside air. These are all things that can be enjoyed, even by someone who might consider themselves out of shape. In fact, taking a walk, is one of the best exercises for a beginner exercise routine.

It’s easy and has a low impact on the joints. Furthermore, it is a very healthy, consistent movement. A movement with purpose. And that is the essence of an easy exercise routine. Low impact, low stress and easy to do. Therefore taking a walk outdoors, is a positive start on an easy exercise routine. In fact, it can remain a staple of an exercise routine, simply by increasing the distance walked.

Similarly, by changing the terrain, a walk can become more intense and include obstacles like hills or steps. There are numerous ways to turn walking into a daily exercise routine. One of the most effective is doing it daily. No matter what. Rain, sleet or snow, it’s time to go!

The Out of Shape Beginner

It’s true that one walk may not change being out of shape. However, it can get the ball rolling. One walk can be the first walk, in the new trend. Try it for seven days, at the same time every day. And for the same distance as the first day. After seven days it is more of a routine than a novelty. This is one way to get an effective start in developing an exercise routine.

With this in mind, the following week try a few push ups after each walk. Then try and duplicate that for another seven days. Then after two weeks, this will grow into something that resembles an exercise routine. Except that it will be personalized for individual progress.

Exercise is very important for everyday good health. Additionally, getting a start is sometimes the hardest part. But starting small, and staying consistent, can be an effective strategy. Thanks for reading today.
