The grace mission of Teddy the best friend

Once upon a time there was Teddy. He was chill. Everyday he was chill. Additionally, he was cool and very stylish. That is a healthy outlook. Or a sunny disposition. Actually the sunny disposition is not likely. It’s more like cool indifference. However Teddy pulled it off with flair.

Teddy loves his family. He didn’t have them at first. In fact, it took him several years to find them. There were many dark places (which he didn’t mind) where he spent his time. Sometimes he would find a tasty treat or two, in those dark places. Other times he would travel and search for his home. He knew he was being led there, just not where it was.

Teddy is a cat. But not just any cat. Teddy is a cool cat. When he adopted his family, it was because the Light said he was home. It was a nice place too. Lots of yard toys and fun things to do. Teddy especially liked hunting along the edge of the woods, behind the house. But what he loves more than anything is to protect his family.

The Grace Mission of Teddy

With this in mind, he went to work the very first day. After an hour or so lounging in the warmth of the Light, Teddy knew what was ahead. He didn’t see it as instructions, but a general realization of the safest way to avert the danger. Therefore he was ready, and waiting, when the children came out to play that afternoon.

They were very happy and excited. Obviously they loved spending time in their yard. Furthermore, he could hear them talking and planning their playtime. Teddy’s heart felt very warm as he watched them go about their fun. Furthermore, he kept a close eye on the spot the Light warned him about. He wasn’t sure what he was waiting for, only that it would happen fast.

As the children played, they were unaware of Teddy’s presence. In fact, he was so still, not even the bugs knew he was there. As he waited for his moment he listened to the children talking. Their names are Aleena and Christopher. Although, ‘Leena’ and ‘Chris’ are the names Teddy hears most often as they play. Teddy felt fascinated by their imaginative fun. And he felt so intrigued, he nearly missed the movement to his left.

He nearly missed the movement to his left. It was quick and furtive. However, Teddy was on point now. He knew his mission and what he had to do. The Light was very clear, and very knowing. Therefore, Teddy prepares himself, and watches closely…

***Christopher and Aleena are playing their favorite game in the backyard when Chris sees the cat jump into the air. It is near where they are playing and it surprises the daylights out of him. They hadn’t seen the cat at all. Then it jumped into the air. It surprised them both, and now, they watch as the cat faces off against a very large, and mean, snake.

The battle is fierce, but short. The cat is extremely fast, and the snake will no longer be a threat to the little family living here. Teddy’s family.

That was how it started. Teddy was declared a hero, and immediately adopted. By that evening, he had his own place in the house, and a new mission everyday. That was only the first time the Light set Teddy on his course. Every day thereafter, Teddy would start his day by absorbing the Light and learning how to protect his family.
