The Pawn Ticket – Bait and Switch

It doesn’t take Tucker long to realize he is in mortal danger. It isn’t the Henchmen ushering him into the building that causes it. Nor is it the heavy weaponry they brandish to prevent his escape. In fact, they appear armed for heavy warfare. Tucker suspects he and the pawn ticket would resemble Swiss cheese, long before he ever escapes.

After they enter the large and unremarkable building, the bad guys force Tucker into the lead. They prod him down a long hallway that ends with a closed door. A scanner is on the wall beside the closed door. One of Tucker’s abductors swipes a key card through the scanner. Suddenly, the door opens with a soft whooshing sound. Tucker is prodded forward once more. Although the room he has entered is dark, he can tell it is large and expansive.

Furthermore, he senses something that surprises him. In fact, it surprises him so much, he nearly trips and falls. However, he steadies himself and marches further into Lab Sixty Four.

The Pawn Ticket – Bait and Switch

Jenson is waiting one block away from the lab. He watched Tucker enter the building only moments ago. The team surrounding him, has at least six members. Similarly, Jenson is certain another squad is en route. Therefore, they will wait until all the pieces are in play.

Once the door to the building closes, Jenson orders the rest of his team into position. They will only have one shot at pulling this off. However he has confidence in his team. They have worked together many times before. Furthermore, they only needed to neutralize the Rook Division. Dismantling the organization was a priority to other agencies.

Jenson checks the time and begins preparing for his part in this rescue/showdown. Things were about to get dangerous and busy. There is no more room for delays. They must see it through from this point forward. If they were going to save Tucker and stop the Rook Division it was now or never.

The Switch

Renwell arrives at Lab sixty four five minutes after Tucker. It is time to conduct the experiment. Furthermore, they have never been this close to a breakthrough. With this in mind, Renwell feels astonished with the readings he is receiving from the lab. The data funnels directly to his phone. As soon as Tucker entered the lab, everything doubled in activity. Indeed, there was a surge across the board.

Additionally they have begun receiving data from the machine. This is the greatest development they could have hoped for. They were very near the answers they have been seeking for years. Renwell feels pleased, and curious at the same time. The pawn ticket is real.

Bait

What would happen when the pawn ticket united with the machine? What mystery would unfold? He feels convinced they are now at the pivotal point in all their endeavors. So lost is he in his thoughts, that he doesn’t see the agents closing in behind him. Jenson was about to strike.
