The turning point with Butterbeans

Sergeant Jeremy Smith had been in the service for ten years. And under the Lieutenant’s command for three of those years. To say they are merely co-workers is an understatement. Over that time, their team experienced many strange things together. Additionally, they had completed many dangerous missions.

However, he has not experienced any of the things he has encountered, since they began exploring level 113. The unexpected and mysterious portal was top among those. Furthermore, he has now seen Butterbeans and Alex, disappear into that same portal, twice.

The turning point with butterbeans

With this in mind, he now knows that Alex and Butterbeans know more about this situation, than anyone currently involved. Similarly they appear to have established an alliance with the strange beings that are somehow connected to the mysterious portal. He watches the agents below gather around the portal, yet they make no move to follow Alex and Butterbeans.

Instead, they begin placing unusually shaped objects around the base of the portal Alex and Butterbeans had just vanished into. Now the Sergeant feels a sense of alarm, as he begins to realize their intentions. He looks at the Lieutenant across from him. And feels immediate relief when he sees the go signal. It’s time to act, and the Sergeant couldn’t be more ready.

The turning point

They arrive in a chamber that is a part of the second level of the complex. Alex feels disoriented at first, but Butterbeans is immediately on the move. She runs toward the doors leading to the elevator cars. While Alex tries to get his bearings, Butterbeans is diligently checking for rogue agents.

The turning point with Butterbeans

Alex feels astounded when he realizes they are near the surface. He immediately notices there is no Eternity gate. They have arrived without any apparent means of travel. Furthermore, he will be able to contact the commander of the base directly now.

Although he is determined to get help for his teammates, Alex also feels the pressure to stop the rogue agents. He has become convinced their plan to wipe out the Eternity gate is a mistake. Therefore the mission to stop them is of great importance. He remembers the artifact given to him. And its purpose. It felt like they had come to a turning point. As Alex joins Butterbeans at the door leading to the surface.

Butterbeans

Special agent Thomas is waiting for an update. He is in charge of this underground mission. Furthermore he is losing control of it minute by minute. In his mind there is only one team to blame for the failure of this mission. However, they would have things back in line soon. His orders were to wire up the strange gate.

He didn’t know why the top brass wanted it dismantled. They didn’t pay him to ask questions. Although, after seeing what the mysterious portal can do, Special Agent Thomas understands the need to assume control. If not for the furry ambassador of goodwill, that goal would already be accomplished.

Now they had lost track of the two, gate crashers, and Special Agent Thomas was not happy. Furthermore they are no longer able to track them through the team ID signal which meant they were out of range. He doesn’t know how they pulled it off, but he suspects they are no longer working alone.

Turning point

However, it will have to wait while they clear the remaining obstacles, and set all the control boxes at the gates. There are still two team members missing. Therefore Special agent Thomas wasn’t taking any more chances. If Butterbeans and Alex make it to the surface somehow, there are plenty of agents to stop them.
