The turtle, the wolf and the frog, cry wolf (cont.)
It was chaos at the shop and Tim looks at Julie closely, to see if she is okay. She nods to him that she is okay and insists he check on things in the shop. Tim reluctantly agrees.
The turtle
Now he looks back at buddy and asks if he will be okay with Julie, a simple yes from Buddy, and Tim grins. He loves seeing Buddy so happy! He quickly opens his door and steps out.
Julie asks Buddy what he had for breakfast this morning. It is a game they play everyday, a guessing game. Julie asks until she discovers Buddy’s menu from the morning. Then Buddy catches Julie off guard. Furthermore, it feels surreal, and causes an icy tingle to race up Julie’s spine.
Buddy asks a simple question, but it is beyond Julie how he could know to ask.
“Did the see through lady scare Julie?” Julie freezes and isn’t able to say anything as she remembers this morning. It couldn’t have happened. Moreover it had frightened her badly.

What she had seen, had been her imagination. She kept telling herself this, however, she felt like she knew better. Now to have Buddy ask about something, that only she had seen, was such a shock, she could still form no response.
Cry wolf
A few moments later Tim opens the door and gets back in the car. He notices that Julie is pale and immediately worries that something has happened. Buddy speaks up from out of the blue, “The see through lady followed Julie.”
Tim looks at Julie quizzically and notices that she has turned even more pale. “Julie are you okay? You look like you’ve seen a ghost!” The alarm in his voice seems to snap Julie back to this reality, and she takes a deep breath before responding.
“I’m okay, but I think we need to talk. Something is happening, and I don’t know how, but Buddy knows what, or who, or something. This is so beyond belief.” Tim looks at Julie, absorbing her words. Something is happening and he can feel it.
From the back seat, in a small voice, comes a simple statement. “I feel it too.” to be continued
