The winter weather imagination games
It looks like winter is about to get real. I just read the report for our area. Schools are already closing and children everywhere are cheering the added time off! I know at least one particular seven year old that is very excited about the snow day imagination vacation.
The Legos supplies are ready. And there are many adventures, just ahead, for several different favorite toys. Likewise the jackets and gloves and boots are all by the door. The anticipation for fun is real, as is the sense of wonder at…snow.
The Winter Weather Imagination Games
With this in mind, our area is not a place that gets snow very often. In fact it’s a rare thing due to location. Therefore, the little ones have to make the most of it when it does happen. It might only be a dusting of snow, but if it can be collected, it will be made into a snowman.
Additionally, all the wonder and excitement of the event, is an event itself. The anticipation of seeing the first few flakes of snow falling, is evident for this little one. He has some teenage mutant ninja turtle figures that are going to be doing snow stunts. They just don’t know it yet. Neither does Krang. (The super bad guy)
The anticipation of something fun, and exciting, is enough to get all parts of the imagination firing. Not only is this good for the environment, but also it warms the spirit. These days anything that is warming and exciting is certainly worthwhile.
Imagination games
In fact, we just had a good meal of burgers and fries. Imaginary, of course. It was fun to watch the little one cook the pretend food, and then serve it, so we could eat the delicious meal! Furthermore, there is an app for that. However, it was more fun to use the imagination. Also to watch grandpa make funny faces because the food was very hot!
The winter weather imagination games are well underway around here. Exciting and anticipated so much, the window is being checked every five minutes for those first few flakes! It won’t take long to get the gloves on and get busy building the igloo. Yes, the imagination is really moving now. The snow fort will be next! Thanks for reading.
