A look at natural remedies and how to use them.
Natural remedies do exist. They are most often a part of nature and do not require a prescription. Therefore, there is no doctor or medical staff. While that is refreshing and much less expensive, the establishment may frown on the implications. Perhaps even offer a rebuttal based on stern warnings about consulting a doctor first. However, the rebuttal will not include the $560 needed to visit a doctor for the consultation.
With this in mind, it is sometimes well over a thousand. In other words some natural remedies are based on common sense. For example healthy doses of sunshine. Or fresh air. Furthermore, natural remedies may not always be about the elements. In some cases, a natural remedy appears in a food item. For example, an apple. There’s an actual reason why an apple a day, keeps the debt doctor away. And obviously “an apple a day” won’t literally eliminate doctor visits but it does support good health. This is due to high fiber, antioxidants (like quercetin), and vitamin C.
Natural Remedies
Natural remedies are about mother nature. They have nothing to do with manufactured products. Although there are lamps that produce UV light, and lights that simulate sunshine, there is no substitute for the real thing. It’s a natural alternative to synthetic or manufactured light. Furthermore, the benefits of natural sunlight, are proven, and very reasonably priced.

Sunshine is just one example of a natural remedy. The fact that it isn’t based on an expensive, manufactured pill, is even better. It is one of the most basic ways to prove that natural remedies really do work. That is a refreshing concept because traditional healthcare is not as comprehensive as it was in the days of House. Fans of Hugh Laurie will get it.
With this in mind, it is important to know a little about natural remedies, because every little bit helps. Additionally, natural remedies are usually budget friendly. For example, the sunshine. Or the apple. There is that business about consulting a doctor before trying new things for improved health. It’s a heads up for safety.
The List and How to Use It
Trying new things for improved health is one way to do things. However, some things are much older than new. For example, the sunshine. It might feel like getting proper sun exposure, for the improved health benefits, is a new therapy. So might other natural remedies. However, some natural remedies are as old as Mother Nature herself. The following small list has a few of those remedies.
- Ginger: Known for reducing nausea, motion sickness, and digestive upset.
- Honey: Used to treat coughs and soothe sore throats (not for children under 1 year).
- Chamomile: Commonly used in teas to help with anxiety and relaxation.
- Peppermint: The menthol in peppermint helps relax gastrointestinal tissue to help treat bloating and gas.
- Arnica Cream/Gel: Topically applied for treating bruises and muscle soreness.
- Tea Tree Oil: Has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, useful for spot-treating acne or fungal infections.
- Echinacea: Used to help reduce the severity of cold symptoms.
- Coconut Oil: Used for skin moisture. And when mixed with cayenne, creates a homemade topical pain cream.
It isn’t a complicated list. Furthermore, some of the ingredients are common grocery store items. For example, honey. While it is possible to find honey in its natural environment, it’s easier and less stingy, to go to the grocery store.
Using Natural Remedies
Everyone is different. What works for some, may not work for others. Once again, it is advisable to consult with a doctor before relying on alternative forms of treatment. Even though something like honey, is as natural as natural can be, there’s not a guarantee it will be a good fit for everyone. However, a little research can go a long way toward a positive course of action.

Furthermore, there are many online resources for researching natural remedies. The advantage of online resources greatly enhances the chances of finding real, non-harmful, remedies. Similarly there is no comparison between the expense of modern day health care solutions (pills, meds, and more pills) and the affordability of natural remedies. Check out the honey at the grocery store. The edible honey. It’s a lot less expensive than even the generic pills.
There is also all that sunshine. Free vitamin D3. It’s hard to turn down free vitamin D3. Of course, vampires turn it down, but for different reasons. Looking for, and trying, natural remedies is one way to try and mitigate expenses. It’s also an age old practice. Although back in the day, there wasn’t as much knowledge about the effects of natural remedies as there is now. Back in the day, the “proof was in the pudding”. In other words, if it worked, it worked. Thanks for reading.
