Carnivore corner: that time 18,000 cows blew up

That is a lot of bovine. It is still a disaster. The scale of it is staggering. At least it felt that way as I was reading the headlines. Most headlines read “explosion kills 18,000 cows”! I see the same headline across multiple media sources.

My first thought was, that must have been one hell of an explosion! Furthermore, what could cause such a blast? Frankly, since it was a farm in the report, my mind went to agriculture and then found grain elevator explosions. This was just curious thinking. There’s a reason why farm work is called work.

18,000 Cows

Accidents happen with farm work all the time. However, it doesn’t always make the mainstream news. Additionally, I wanted to learn as many facts as possible. I remembered reading articles of large chicken farms catching fire, as recently as a couple of months ago. The details about these events were also unusual.

Furthermore, the timing. In a single year several large farms responsible for large amounts of food, have been on fire. And not in a good way. I found this article- The Texas Tribune, and read more details of this event from there.

The Texas Tribune has published a comprehensive article that can be read in this link. Furthermore, it is hoped they don’t mind The Frog Journal sharing this link. It is a comprehensive article with up to date details.

The details of the article do not refer to the event as an explosion. It is being referred to as a fire. A fire that is under investigation by the state’s fire marshal. The article authors assure, that updates will be published as soon as they are available.

Blew Up

With this in mind, it’s possible milk and related products, may be affected by this event. However, that is the opinion of this carnivore. So is the image I imagine each time I read the headline about 18,000 cows getting blown up. Including this one!

Got any conspiracy theories about cows? Comments are welcome. Furthermore, comments about chickens, are also welcome! Upcoming articles will return to more recipes. Even if they don’t go well! Additionally, new stories are arriving soon. Thanks for reading today.
