Choosing awareness with health and wellness

A path in the woods isn’t always easy to see. In fact there are times when it is well hidden. However, it’s still there. When it’s not so easy to see, it’s called a trail. Once upon a time, learning to spot a trail, was a valued skill. Still is, in my opinion.

With this in mind, today’s health scene feels a lot like the invisible trail. It isn’t always easy to know what path is best, for overall health and wellness. Especially with regard to extenuating circumstances. For example, air pollution. Or nutrition. Throw in a chronic condition, and the twist is complete.

Choosing awareness with health and wellness

However, having an interest in, or an awareness of, health and wellness is a very good start. Furthermore, every start begins with the basics. Maintaining a focus on basic health and wellness, is a benchmark for a path to overall success.

Choosing awareness with health and wellness

One way to activate this journey is by dividing it into smaller goals. These goals, or areas of interest, will help develop others, on down the trail, or road. Respectively. These areas are diet; exercise; and rest. The last one there –rest, is also about relaxation and recreation. Recreation can also lead to exercise. (Ask anyone with kids or grandkids. 😉)

There is an abundance of information on the internet about exercise. The overall idea is about movement. Everyday movement, consistently, and outdoors is helpful, as well. The health benefits of sunshine are well known. So are the bugs outdoors but it’s worth it. The exercise gained in battling the bugs is also beneficial. It falls under the whole movement category.

The natural connection

Furthermore, natural things are beneficial to health and wellness. Particularly where a chronic health condition is concerned. For example, a Type 1 diabetic benefits from exercise. Something as simple as a walk outdoors can do wonders for overall health. Make it consistent for long term benefits.

This is the essence of awareness in health and wellness. Choosing what works best for the circumstances. Things that are natural and benefit the body, benefit overall wellness. This article is an opinion article. It is not medical advice in any way. It is an opinion, based on first hand experience.

Additionally it is the goal of this site to share experiences and hope that it might benefit someone else along the way. Moving forward, that will become more detailed and expansive. There will be a few stories along the way. Pro tip: The stories on The Frog Journal are great for the long wait at the doctor’s office. And many other places as well. Thanks for reading today.
