Don’t forget the ketchup for the best meatloaf

It had been a long day. There had been many encounters with monsters! Then the monsters had to be fed. Since these monsters were eating cyber food it was easy to feed them. It was the little monster, hatching all the cyber monsters, that was going to be tough to feed.

It isn’t a finicky eater problem, so much as an interest in the menu deal. Furthermore, the appetite is off the charts for chik-a-filet chicken nuggets. Or pizza. However it isn’t possible to have them every meal. With this in mind, it’s important to find appetizing alternatives.

Clearly the chicken nuggets have many tasty attributes. Also they are efficient and quick to eat. Therefore, we can chow down as quickly as a cyber monster chows down, cyber food. Yet, on this particular day we were in the mood for meatloaf with ketchup.

Don’t Forget the Ketchup

There is something special about the ketchup meatloaf. Not only is it simple and filling, but also hits the spot when the meal has it. It is a good additional menu item to help balance the chicken nugget only diet. But don’t forget the ketchup.

In fact, it was the ketchup that made the sale to begin with. It’s possible the loaf would have always been overlooked, had it not been for the ketchup topping. This recipe is basic and easy. Also it is possible to adjust, or tweak, the recipe for more personalized tastes.

  • Loaf Ingredient List
  • 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef, lean
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 cup milk
  • salt and pepper
  • Ketchup Topping
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons mustard

Mix loaf ingredients until well blended. Place loaf into an oiled 9×5 loaf pan. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Then mix ingredients for the ketchup topping and spread evenly over the loaf. Place the loaf in the oven and let it cook for 1 hour. Meatloaf is done when the internal temp is 165 degrees. Additionally the pink in the center of the loaf will be gone.

The Best Meatloaf

At this point we were ready to eat. The good scent of meatloaf cooking is also an appetite enhancer of the best kind! Throw in some buttered hot rolls and some hot green beans, and we had a balanced chicken nugget alternative that kept us feeding monsters, late into the night!

This is our best meatloaf recipe, and it is super basic and easy. (But don’t forget the ketchup) Furthermore with a quick Google search, it is possible to find several tweaks to this recipe, for added enjoyment! Thanks for reading today!
