Natural immunity vs vaccine immunity the best of both worlds

Natural immunity vs vaccine immunity the best of both worlds.

The body is a miraculous machine. The modern day healthcare system is also quite a machine. In fact, it’s such a large machine it often bogs down in red tape. Fortunately, that isn’t the topic of this article. Although the healthcare system works to provide a way to get vaccinated, it isn’t the actual maker of the vaccine. The good news is that we don’t need to go there either. Those topics are for other articles and arguments. this article is more of an observation with some searchable facts.

Searchable facts are the bread and butter of an informative article. It’s easy to appreciate an informative article. In an age when there is access to more information than ever, it’s not always easy to know the truth from an untruth. One of the better ways to correct that is by research and careful examination of the facts. Once upon a time articles written by journalists had to be accurate. In fact, they wouldn’t go to press with an article or story, if it wasn’t provable by fact. Printing things that are untrue, or unprovable, is fiction writing.

Recently there have been more cases of the measles reported in different areas of the country. Most times the report is quick and has very little in the way of details. Also sometimes that is a political spin. It would be less than smart to think that politics isn’t a major player in all forms of information sharing. Proponents of something try to capture as many media outlets as possible, and the opponents of something do the same. Then we end up running in circles.

Natural Immunity

Once upon a time it was about protecting people from diseases and their effects. Not everyone has natural immunity. Although altruistic, it was also absolutely realistic. The concept of vaccination was meant to save lives. At least that was the goal, once upon a time. Then came the time when vaccines, and their developers, welcomed the recurring customer business model. Furthermore, why not turn healthcare and well being into a big business? Health and wellness can be exploitable. Furthermore, it has the potential to become a money making powerhouse, with the right marketing.

That might sound like a cynical opinion from an older adult and it is an opinion. The only real evidence that the medical industry has a problem with scruples, is empirical. It exists as an example over the course of time. When people live through specific times there is a real accounting of historical events. Therefore, widely reported untruths are easier to dispel because real people know the real truth. If we need proof that the narrative is controllable, we need only look back on Covid. That is an example of what herd mentality and mass controlled marketing, will produce. Natural immunity wasn’t even on the playing field. It was real, but kept out of the prescribed narrative.

Whether natural immunity is common, has a lot to do with the body’s own immune system. Some people do have natural immunity. When it comes to a disease like the measles, most people have a vaccine immunity to the disease. Furthermore, the word vaccine is about protective inoculation. Many years ago the idea that a vaccine is a silver bullet against a disease came from how well the vaccine stopped the spread of the disease.

Vaccine Immunity

In recent years things have changed. It was out of necessity, because apparently, words have power. Power to wound or insult. They even have the power to spread the truth. Therefore, the definition of the word vaccine needed adjustment.

In September 2021, the CDC updated its definition of the word to state that a vaccine is “a preparation that is used to stimulate the body’s immune response against diseases.” The previous wording used the phrase “to produce immunity,” which was updated because it could be misconstrued to imply 100% protection, which no vaccine provides.”

If we take this information and apply it to the various reports of a recurring measles problem, several things become clear, almost immediately. Firstly, because of vaccine efforts, measles faced eradication. I personally got the measles vaccine when I was a kid. Subsequently, (and thankfully) the measles stayed away. However, there are reports and evidence, that the measles disease wants to make a comeback.

The Best of Both Worlds

With this in mind, it seems important to gather and share as many certifiable facts as possible. Without any supporting information, the problem and the facts surrounding the problem, can become twisted and misconstrued. Sometimes that is just from buying into the rumor mill. Other times it’s intentional misinformation. In the case of measles making a comeback, it is a mix of both worlds.

The idea that a recent change in policy would cause a spike in measles cases, is naive at best. Natural immunity notwithstanding. Changing a vaccine schedule in 2026 doesn’t immediately spur an outbreak of a disease that was all but eliminated. There would have to be extenuating circumstances. And there is, which means there is absolutely more to the story. The first part of which is the epicenter. The biggest reported outbreak of the measles. Additionally, to call it an outbreak is over the top sensationalism, in my opinion.

Currently (source: historyofvaccines.org) the epidemiological tracking data reveals that the epicenter of the increase was in Lancaster County Pennsylvania. Nearly half of all cases were reported there, with secondary clusters in Mifflin, Chester, and Lebanon counties. I found this information interesting because it went against the mainstream narrative.

The Epicenter of Both Worlds

It’s easy to accept the mainstream narrative, because it’s easy. It doesn’t ask hard questions, that seek real truth, for sharing impartial information. Currently Lancaster county remains the clear epicenter (over 320+ confirmed cases), followed by neighboring rural counties including Mifflin, Chester, and Snyder. (Pennsylvania Department of Health – pa.gov/agencies/health)

Total Confirmed Cases: 1,078 cases statewide across 41 counties (having surpassed 1,000 cases in early October).

Vaccination Status:

  • Fewer than 1% of cases are among vaccinated individuals (only 4 confirmed breakthrough cases across the entire 1,078-case dataset).
  • Over 99% of all infections are in completely unvaccinated or undervaccinated individuals.

Here is where the information becomes relevant and needs factual details for accuracy. These details add important context to the overall story. Things like natural immunity do matter, but in this context, barely so.

Case tracking and local reporting confirm that the sustained chain of transmission is rooted primarily within Pennsylvania’s generational Plain communities (Old Order Amish and conservative Mennonite groups) in Lancaster and surrounding rural counties. This is highly relevant information as to where and how this increase in new cases evolved.

The Natural Immunity Conundrum

The natural immunity condition, is a unique one. However, in this situation, it hasn’t gotten much traction. For example the age distribution is unlike historic childhood outbreaks because 68% of the infected individuals in Pennsylvania have been adults. And according to the Association of Immunization Managers, the estimated MMR vaccination rate within the Plain population in Lancaster County is approximately 25%, well below the 95% threshold required to stop airborne measles transmission.

If natural immunity is a player, there isn’t data to support it in this article. Although nothing is impossible, vaccine immunity is the key takeaway here. This is because the deaths identified to date include infants too young to receive the MMR vaccine and vulnerable individuals who could not be vaccinated due to underlying conditions. This added information helps bring clarity to a problem that existed long before the current political scene. If there’s ever been a positive case made for a vaccine the measles vaccine would be one of those. Its effectiveness is proven in the most factual way. Positive results over the course of time.
