The breakfast biscuit and friends

The breakfast biscuit is delicious. It also tastes just like a dinner biscuit, however the breakfast biscuit has better friends. Like bacon. Or jelly. While it’s true that bacon is likely a more popular friend than jelly, they are still friends, of the breakfast biscuit.

Not only is bacon a part of the breakfast biscuit build out, but also there are eggs. Indeed there are more than a few friends of the breakfast biscuit. How is it that one form of baked goodness can get along with so many different things?

The breakfast biscuit and friends

This was the discussion with the little one, as the biscuit was disassembled, and each part devoured individually. Bacon first, for real. There wasn’t any cheese. Things are usually not cheesy with a biscuit. A butter baked biscuit, especially.

Some mornings there is ham or sausage instead of bacon. These are also first on the disassembly chow down. Then the eggs. However, the eggs have been scrambled, and folded. There are round eggs (mcmuffin eggs) or the folded ones. With biscuits, it’s always about the fold.

There are many different biscuit combinations. Chicken with biscuits is another basic and hearty combination. Furthermore the chicken is the first to go when the biscuit breakdown begins. Next the eggs, and then the bacon. 😳 Biscuits are always better with bacon. Even when there’s chicken.

Clearly, bacon is a bonus to a good biscuit. Furthermore, the biscuit is a bonus to a good breakfast. This includes one of the best combinations, which is gravy and biscuits. However, it’s the jelly that inspired this biscuit talk. So, it’s only fitting that the jelly is the finish off.

Friends

It’s the same as saving the best for last. After the bacon and eggs, there was the matter of the remaining biscuit halves. It was a good thing the jelly was there. All the other friends of the breakfast biscuit had departed. That meant it was time to enjoy the biscuit. And what better way, than with the jelly?

A breakfast biscuit that finishes with a good smear of jelly? That has to be the best friend effect. Considering the jelly was the last one there, I’d say it’s a good possibility. Thanks for reading today!
