The family outing with the best drive thru

The best night of the week. It was easily the best night of the week. Firstly because the family was all together. That is the mark of any close family. All together. Secondly, because everyone was excited about the adventure of the evening. There would be shopping, and lots of calculation. The little ones had an allowance to work with. And it required economic planning, in the store, on the toy aisle.

This weekly event was as much family time, as it was errand running. And once again, the family was all together. Furthermore, dinnertime would occur just after all the economic planning in the toy aisle, at Walmart. The family was going to need a meal. Everyone would be hungry, and an eat-in restaurant was not always doable. Sometimes there was a rush to return home, and examine the results of the fiscal strategy on the toy aisle.

The total number of participants on the family outing, were always six. Four kids, two adults. Therefore, an ordinary drive thru, would not do. Through time, and trial and error, the best drive-thru had multiple locations. One factor to consider, is that in the late nineties, a drive-thru was more primitive, than in today’s world. There was not advanced tech, making things flow smoothly, like in today’s world. (Big wink there, just in case no one saw it.)

The Family Outing

The best drive-thru had everything to do with the craving of the evening. Since the family was large, some effort was placed on finding a common theme. This would greatly speed up the time spent in the drive-thru. (There was still that rush to get home) However, not every drive-thru was a candidate for the best drive-thru. There were several factors to consider. The most important was the accuracy of the drive-thru.

With this in mind, the speed of the service was going to be as it was. The order was usually large. Therefore, accuracy was most important. Mainly because no one wanted a second trip through the line to get that one item that was missing. This meant the family needed to work as a unit to find out if anything was missing. This began as soon as the food was handed out the window. Everyone had to work quickly and report fast. Talk about family cohesion.

Even with the family cohesion, not every drive-thru made the grade. The family outing was about accomplishing the business of the family, as a whole. This was the motivating force, when the family worked as a team, to quickly identify if all members of the family, had their food.

The Best Drive-thru

Finding the best drive-thru for a large family, isn’t the only thing a family can do. Furthermore, a family can still function as a family, no matter the geographic distance between them. This is another mark of a close family. It is also one of the greatest benefits in life. Certainly worth cherishing, as well as protecting.

The family outing is just one way a family can bond. There are many others, and they are easy to identify. They will usually require the family to be together in one way or another. This is definitely a good thing, because, have you seen all those cool toys on the toy aisle? Thanks for reading.
