The holiday rush cool down with a new year of opportunity
After all the anticipation, and preparation, the holiday season is nearing a close. Soon the Christmas decorations will be packed away. Before long it will be a new season and this one will be the memory. Maybe today feels like a stress free day compared to the previous couple of weeks. Maybe there’s extra time. No need to go to the store for gift shopping. Or to stress over twenty four hour, rush hour traffic.
In fact, there might still be a lot of hustle, but at least there’s more time. It feels like there’s more time. Christmas has passed, and the memories are still with us. But it feels like the pressure isn’t as great. It’s as though the holiday rush has been replaced with a holiday feeling of gratitude. And maybe a little sigh of relief. Now that the holiday season is nearing a close, it’s time to look ahead to a new year. A new year for hope. Maybe even a new year for fantastic discoveries.
Not like fiscal financial analysis, or life goals. Just a general thought about the upcoming year. And maybe a look back at what this year taught us. Maybe for some it was a new job. Maybe for others it was tough times or devastating loss. That is one of the main things that defines the holiday rush. It keeps the mind preoccupied with lots of details. Next thing you know, it’s the day after Christmas.
The Holiday Rush Cool Down
Now that the holiday rush is mostly over, it’s time for a new year. Whether celebrated or not, the changes usher in a new look on the calendar, and new year to remember on every official document. In fact, by the time the first week of the new year is complete, it will feel like this holiday rush was so last year.

Of course, in the here and now, the holiday rush was just yesterday. Or, more accurately, it all came together, yesterday. And yet all the days in the weeks leading up to yesterday, are still fresh in memory. True that there is a new year just ahead, and for some that might be the biggest celebration of the year. It might even be the best, holiday rush, cool down.
With this in mind, there are many things to look forward to, in a new year. New opportunities, new adventures, and even better, new friends. And these are just a few of the positive opportunities in the new year ahead. It’s exciting to think about, especially right here, just one day after Christmas day. The magic still feels real, and the holiday rush still feels fresh. It’s an excellent time for more stories. Happening very soon. Thanks for reading today.
