The peanut butter and banana sandwich

There are sandwiches, and there are sandwiches. Some sandwiches are very large and some are small. And the peanut butter and banana sandwich is the best of them all. That is an opinion. Anyone who enjoys a steak sandwich, might disagree.

Furthermore, the humble BLT sandwich is also a contender for the best of sandwiches. Recently we were discussing this over a banana and peanut butter sandwich. Additionally it could be true that the peanut butter and banana sandwich is more nutrient rich. However the BLT sure tastes good!

With this in mind, it is the way the peanut butter and the banana, compliment the uniqueness of the other. Additionally, it is a simple sandwich with a quick prep time. However it does take a little longer if the prep includes peanut buttering both slices of the bread.

There can also be variations. Or additions and customizations. A personal favorite around here is the drizzle of honey. Delicious and nutritious. The bread is a personal choice. It is a good idea to have a durable slice of bread. Or two. The more nutritious the bread the better. However there is nothing wrong with the basics.

We are enjoying this sandwich because we needed a beneficial alternative to another ice cream. Even though that ice cream is a Blue Bunny chocolate covered, chocolate ice cream, in a chocolate waffle cone. That is definitely a tough competition for the meager peanut butter sandwich.

This is the on-going exploration of good food versus junk food. We are very interested in what makes food, good and what makes it, junk. We know that fruits are good, if in their basic form. Ice cream is on the bubble. Ice cream is tough to categorize.

It went very well and the peanut butter and banana sandwich was a hit! It is also surprisingly filling. Stick to your ribs, and hang with a body, filling.
