Thumbprint cookie connection

It took a while to find them. They are not always in the bakery section. They are also not in the snack cakes section. It really is hit or miss with these cookies. These delicious and unique cookies.

We don’t know how to make these cookies. One of us is only six. Furthermore it would be a learning process, which is okay and very constructive. We just didn’t have that much time. It was a thumbprint cookie craving.

With a little more searching and a small amount of luck we found the cookies! It was a jubilant feeling because they are not a common cookie. As it turns out, neither are the connections that come along with the thumbprint cookie.

Cookie Connection

These connections matter to an inquisitive mind. In fact, it could be said the inquisitive mind is a work in progress. Therefore, the origin of the cookie, was at the top of the list of questions. It came in a close second to, what is a thumbprint?

This is where the pace of the search, slowed just a bit. That was a good question. It might help to know the definition of a thumbprint. Furthermore, it might help to know everyone has unique thumbprints. With this in mind, how to explain it, seemed important.

So did the cookies. The thumbprint cookie has been around for years. We would get them from the bakery when we were kids. A short few years ago. 😳 The thumbprint cookie of the old days was a bit more modest than some of the new versions.

However, the sweet taste is timeless. It doesn’t explain what a thumbprint is, but the cookie is a treat! Robots don’t eat cookies. Cookie monster eats cookies. The odds are good that the cookie monster will like thumbprint cookies. Not the robots though.

Thumbprint

Robots don’t eat cookies, and they don’t have thumbprints. Some of them don’t have thumbs. With this in mind, it was easy to make the leap, to the human condition. Which naturally led to the cookie condition. They are delicious, by the way. And unique.

We reached the same conclusion about the thumbprints. We also decided that it was cool to be unique. Then we began checking the cookies for their unique prints. It looks like we will have to return to the bakery! Wow those cookies went fast! Thanks for reading today!
